Beyond Satire

The 1973 awarding of the Nobel Prize to Henry Kissinger was greeted with the following words by musical Satirist Tom Lehrer:

"It was at that moment that Satire died. There was nothing more to say after that."

Sitting through ten minutes of the cringeworthy site of Barack Obama telling the world how the US has "Underwritten Peace" on Sky 'News' today, I was struck by how quickly history had repeated itself.

I wonder what the villagers currently on the receiving end of Obama's Remotely Piloted Drones would think if they were to have the concept of the Nobel Prize explained to them?
